Who Am I?
My Why, My Beliefs
A proud Muslim.
I believe that Islam preaches and teaches peace and harmony. It's unlike what we heard of those extremists that goes around spreading violence and hate to taint Islamic values.
Islam also teaches to live our life as if it is our last day on Earth.
It teaches me to never stop hustling to improve myself for none other than to be the best servant that Allah wants me to be through my passion and what I stand for.
I aspire to be a source of inspiration, motivation and the spark that moves people to be more than they already are. I find that there is more to life than just barely surviving everyday.
I find that there is a need to have a big WHY in life, something that you'd be so passionate about that keeps you going to the point that you forget what time is it or that you have not eaten the whole day.
I just believe that everyone should do something they love and not something that can "provide" for them. Don't you think so?
My passion has always been about Fitness, Nutrition and Self-Development after I went through quite a problematic childhood.
You see, the thing about me is that, for someone being born weak and skinny with health problems too, I don't have much self-esteem to begin with.
Adding to my list of problems, I was not the brightest of all people (Yes, I do make silly decisions sometimes..err..many times.)
But, I had a few hidden talent. Like I can sing quite nicely, I can play the drums better than most people, and somehow when things need be, I can actually do well in studies which explains how I managed to graduate with a Diploma in Chemical Engineering (Something I'm proud about).
But, who cares about certification, it doesn't make my financial state grow at all. It's just there......which annoys me. Right now, the only thing I care about is to free my mum, dad, myself and future family from the daylight robbery and time poverty that we are going through.
And I think everyone should strive for that too!
What I Do?
As of now, I'm a full-time process technician at Evonik Oil Additives Pte Ltd. Currently, I'm juggling studies while working as well as managing some other business including this blog.
I have been a health conscious guy ever since I was in my teens. Having gone through a few other health complications like GERD, Anxiety, Chronic constipation taught me that even at a young age, you should be taking good care of your health.
Nobody really understood how it was like having those illnesses unless they have went through it themselves. As far as I remembered, it wasn't a great experience.
Few years later down the road I got interested into learning how to improve my health and fitness.
I was eagerly keeping myself fit . It was after I was enlisted in the Singapore Armed Forces that it hit me hard of how my fitness and strength was pathetic.
The term pathetic might be too vague too understand? Just imagine this, a 5kg rifle felt heavy to me, I could barely do 5 push ups, and I couldn't even do half a pull-up. Yup, pathetic.
I was underweight and quite a weakling before that. It was totally depressing when I got to know someone weak as me was chosen to serve to defend the country.
Then again when I look at it now, I would say it was a blessing in disguise. Ever since getting drilled and going through all those punishments and torture (Training), I decided to harden myself.
Nowadays, I would hit the gym 3 times a week, eat as healthy as I can and keep myself at peace and stress-free.
