We all live our lives to our fullest capabilities to seek nothing but happiness and fulfillment. We keep telling ourselves that the most crucial thing in life is to have balance, isn't it? What if I tell you that a well-balanced life is insanely impossible to achieve?
As I mentioned before, my life got complicated really..really fast.
I went through many difficult situations before but none of them compared to what I had gone through recently.
To be honest, I have never felt so hopeless before in my life.
I remember one day while I was walking back home after a long and tiring day, everything just hit me all at once.
My head was aching badly and my chest felt heavy. I had to lean on the wall at a nearby void deck to keep myself balanced. Then, tears started to roll down my cheeks uncontrollably.
My mind was constantly regurgitating unanswered questions - "God, why is it so hard to do what I like in life? Why is everything falling apart? Am I just meant to be a failure in life and forced to do things I am not good at and keep failing at it till I die?"
The frightening thought about my mounting debts that I could not afford to pay and the fact that I only had a few dollars left in my wallet for the week haunted me every now and then.
It was a harsh but valuable lesson.
Luckily, I was not alone (Thank God). With the help of family and friends, I managed to get up again and this time, with a renewed fighting spirit.
